L’Oréal-UNESCO 2011 Special Fellowship “in the footsteps of Marie Curie” UNESCO-L’Oréal International fellow 2000 for Latin America & the Caribbean.

In 2011, Marcia Roye was named the beneficiary of the first L’Oréal-UNESCO Special Fellowship “in the footsteps of Marie Curie”. Created in celebration of the centennial of Marie Curie’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry, it will be awarded each year to a former recipient of a For Women in Science International Fellowship who, through her outstanding career in the ten years since her fellowship, incarnates the future of science.
